Love at the Tampa Boat Show

We went to the Tampa Boat Show today at the Florida State Fairgrounds. I found my dream boat. It’s perfect to have a weekend in the Gulf, or a trip to the Keys.

I’m in Love!

Of course, we didn’t buy it. But, we did have fun looking at the many boats and vendors.

Oh, and we bought some jam!

Those free samples get me every time!

If you want to go to the Boat Show, it’s there for 1 more day. It’s free. If you miss this one, you can catch another one. They usually have them a couple of times a year at the fairgrounds.

Temperature rising, perfect time to catch a movie!

The temperatures are starting to rise. A sure sign that Summer is upon us in Tampa and across Florida. It’s that time of year when the best place to be is inside with air conditioning. Which means it’s a great time to catch a movie!

Iron Man 3 opens today, and it is a fabulous movie! I really enjoyed it. Even more than the first 2.

Wordless Wednesday, Gasparilla Beads 2013

The Gasparilla parade may have come and gone, but there are still many beads to be thrown. This week the pirates will be in Historic Ybor City for the Knight parade courtesy of The Knights of Sant ‘Yago. The parade will head down 7th Ave at 7pm. Make sure to come out early to get the best spots to catch all of those beads!

Get Geared up for Gasparilla, Argh you Ready?!

Gasparilla is here, and the pirates are ready to invade Tampa. Here’s a couple of cool things I found to help you get in the Gasparilla spirit.

Target on Dale Mabry has a great selection of Gasparilla and pirate tees, including this one blinged out in pink.

I couldn’t resist the scent of these candles, hand poured right in Historic Ybor City by 7th Avenue Apothecary. This is their Gasparilla selection in Coconut Spiced Rum scent. It’s what a pirate should smell like. I took it home and burned it…OH EM GEE…it smells so good!!!

They say the candle will burn for 55 hours. I’ll follow up and let you know, but right now, I’m totally loving it!
