I can check dancing in a flash mob off my bucket list. On Friday night, I danced with some friends in Ybor City as part of a joint effort between Media Fusion, Creative Loafing Tampa, and Rock the Vote, to encourage people to sign up to vote.

We were sent a video of the planned dance 3 weeks in advance, but I have to admit I was not very well prepared, and I spent most my time looking for cues on what to do next. The song choice was an appropriate ‘Living in America’ by James Brown.

Overall, I don’t think enough people were in Ybor at the time for it to have any real impact. But, it was fun, and I respect and appreciate the ladies at Media Fusion for putting it all together.

Remember, it doesn’t matter who you vote for, it just matters that you vote!
